School Council

The Preparatory School Council provides an inclusive, structured forum for discussion and decision making.  It is a platform for children to raise ideas, concerns or issues and also a means to consult all pupils.

The School Council

  • Helps children develop responsible attitudes
  • Gives children hands-on experience of issues in the National Curriculum, including Personal Health and Social Education (PHSE) and Citizenship
  • Creates a feeling of belonging, encourages listening to others and develops self-confidence

Each class has an elected Representative and Vice-Representative who attend School Council meetings and lead class discussions.
