  • Acknowledgement

Applications will be acknowledged in writing. We will contact you if your child is eligible for our assessment and arrange a date for it to take place. If the applicant is not eligible, we will return the application and fee paid in full.

It is essential to keep the Admissions Office informed of any change of contact details. When a place becomes available, the school will make efforts to notify the parents at the home or work numbers provided. But if such efforts fail, the place will be offered to another applicant, and the original applicant will be removed from the waitlist.

  • Assessment

If residing in Hong Kong, the applicant may be invited to the next assessment day. In the event that the applicant is overseas, he/she may be invited to sit an assessment at their current school or a registered examination centre.

Format of Assessments made be found in our Admissions Policy.

  • Offer of a Place

Senior places are confirmed within one month after assessment papers have been received in the Admissions Office. If the applicant has met our assessment benchmarks but a place is unavailable, then he/she will be placed on a waiting list, based on the current admissions criteria.

Once a place is offered, the parents will be asked to accept the opening by a deadline date, by paying a non-refundable Registration Fee and the Capital Cover. If the place is not accepted by the specified date, the offer is automatically withdrawn, and the applicant will be removed from the waitlist

  • Acceptance of a Place

In order to confirm your place, it is essential that we receive the following:

    • a completed and signed acceptance sheet
    • a non-refundable Registration Fee of HK$19,250 (equivalent to 10% of the annual school fees)
    • an individual debenture payment of HK$100,000
    • a completed and signed ‘Application for Individual Debenture'

If a corporate debenture is available and a letter of assignment has previously been forwarded:

    • a completed and signed acceptance sheet
    • a non-refundable Registration Fee of HK$19,250 (equivalent to 10% of the annual school fees)

Parents are reminded that siblings subsequently applying to Kellett School will only receive Sibling Priority on the waiting list if they too have been assigned a corporate debenture in their own right. (Priority 3 of our Debentures refers)

New students joining Sixth Form who are not covered by either an individual debenture or a corporate debenture may opt for the non-refundable Capital Contribution of HK$40,000 covering Years 12 and 13.

The Registration Fee will be deducted from the first term’s fees.

Please make cheques payable to Kellett School Association Limited.

Once a child is admitted to Kellett, the first term is probationary.

If information relevant to the extent of the child’s educational, emotional, social or health needs has not been made apparent to Kellett on the date of admission, we reserve the right to ask the parents to withdraw the child.  This decision would be based on the assessment (in its sole discretion) that Kellett is unable to meet such needs.

Please note that Kellett holds parents, not employers, to be liable for all individual debenture payments, fees and other payments due to the school. Where payments are made by employers, it is the parents' responsibility to ensure that the company makes payment.

If a place is accepted at Kellett and the child does not attend the school, the Registration Fee will be forfeited.
