At Kellett, we believe that a vital way of supporting the School Aim is through the implementation of technology, across both preparatory and senior campuses.

As technology continues to impact greatly upon education and our society, the importance of empowering our students with the ability to access and create a wide range of resources through their use of technology has never been greater.

Use of technology is embedded within the curriculum to support and enable learning. Students access a huge range of tailored resources and learning tools via our virtual learning environment – iLearn. Google Apps are integrated into iLearn, providing a powerful, cloud based tool for student and teacher collaboration and learning. Parents also have access to iLearn and can view key documents and information about their children.

To ensure that our students are appropriately prepared to meet the demands of the senior school curriculum the personal ownership of a laptop computer is essential for every Senior School student. We run a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model of technology provision. Our expectation of the student laptop is high and the laptop must meet our minimum hardware and software requirements. We have partnered with a service support provider to provide optional support  to parents and students with the purchase and maintenance of the student laptop.

The Kowloon Bay campus has a very fast and very reliable wireless network. The ten gig optical backbone supports a vast array of edge devices and the experience of the end user on campus is one which is rarely found in education. The experience empowers students and teachers alike and allows them to continue to push the limits of creativity in an environment designed to exceed the huge demands a cutting edge school like Kellett, puts on its technology infrastructure.
