Introducing Our New Headteacher's Awards!

Announcement

At Kellett school, an award from the Headteacher is a special occasion! In order to receive an award, a student will have demonstrated that he/she is fully embracing school life, and supporting others to do the same. This year, our aim is to link the Headteacher's Awards with the Kellett Learner profile. There are twelve strands to the learner profile, including a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity and positive relationships. Whilst we hope that all students will engage with the learner profile, teachers are able to nominate a student for a Headteacher’s Award for contributing that little bit extra without being asked.

Headteacher's Awards are presented in a special assembly each week, where we congratulate students by inviting them to the front of the Prep Hall to receive their certificate. We hope students value their certificates and that they take pride of place in their homes.

When I was at school, many years ago now, awards were rarely offered and for the most part, were only given to very academic students only! I am pleased that we provide opportunities for student’s to be recognised beyond the academic arena, and I hope to congratulate more of our students in the weeks ahead,’ says Head of Kowloon Bay Prep Samantha Steed.
